Eicosenoic acid – a mono-unsaturated Ω-9 fatty acid present in plant oils

Ellagic acid – a lactone, a hydroxyl acid formed by the hydrolysis of some tannins

Ellagitannins – hydrolyzable tannins, ester involving dimers of ellagic acid

Embelin – a benzoquinone

Emodin – 6-methyl-1,3,8-trihydroxy anthraquinone, a resin present in Polygonaceae, Rhamnaceae etc.

Ephedrine – a protoalkaloid present in Ephedra

Epigallocatechin gallate – EGCG, epigallocatechin-3-gallate; a catechin, an ester of epigallocatechin and gallic acid; EGCG is an antioxidant and present in green tea (during black tea production the catechins are converted to theaflavins and thearubigins)

Ergot alkaloids – ergotism-causing alkaloids present in the ascomycete genus Claviceps; there are two classes of ergot alkaloids: lysergic acid derivatives and derivatives of 6,8-dimethylergoline

Erucic acid – a type of unsaturated fatty acids, a major constituent of most rapeseed and mustard oils

Esculetin – a coumarin
