Waxes – made up of saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons, also some substitution by oxygen, i.e. fatty acids esterified with long-chain alcohols

Withanolides – steroidal lactones characterised by ergostane type steroids with a C₂₈ basic skeleton having a side chain of C₉ units of which a six-membered lactone ring is a characteristic feature
